Vegan BBQ sauce is a wonderful alternative for those who want to avoid animal products. It's made from natural ingredients like tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, garlic, and onions. These ingredients are cooked together and then blended into a smooth sauce. Sometimes smoke flavorings are added to create that signature BBQ flavor.
Vegan BBQ sauce is perfect with grilled vegetables, tofu, or seitan, or even on a great burger. It's spicy, sweet, and smoky, adding a bold flavor to any dish. It's also healthy, as it contains no artificial additives and usually has less sugar than conventional BBQ sauces.

Even without animal ingredients, this BBQ sauce is a winner! – Prime Recipes
Ingredients
For 4 servings
Vegan BBQ Sauce
10 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp tomato paste
100 ml water
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp smoked paprika powder
1 tsp ginger powder
1 garlic clove
Preparation in 5 steps
Start by peeling and finely chopping the garlic.
Place ketchup, tomato paste, water, and garlic in a saucepan. Simmer on the stovetop over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients to the pot and simmer over low heat until the sauce reaches a thickened texture.
Now the sauce should be pureed with a hand blender on a low speed until it becomes smooth and thick.
Pour the BBQ sauce into a serving bowl or, for example, into sterilized screw-top jars, in portions. Seal the jars tightly and let them cool upside down. Store them in a cool place away from sunlight.
